Yes, Adams Design has always changed my spaces noticeably, both in Pelham and in Chatham. In both houses, we knocked down walls to reconfigure rooms and we installed built-ins that look great and are incredibly functional. In addition, we rearranged some of the furniture that I already had in order to achieve a better floor plan and we ordered new furniture when necessary. We also made numerous cosmetic changes — new paint colors, new fabric, new window treatments, new rugs — that have all contributed to making our houses function more efficiently and look great. It's a pleasure to come home!
I'd used other people a long time ago before Lisa went into the design business — and no one was ever as good as Lisa at coming up with creative solutions, particularly in terms of using space efficiently and cleverly.
Adams Design was great at editing and relocating (when necessary) what I already had so that I didn't always have to go out and buy more stuff. And, when I did have to buy more, they always steered me towards pieces that I still love today. Without them, I might have bought things that I would have had to replace down the road so I feel like they've helped me save a lot of money in that respect. They've also made all of my spaces more livable, enjoyable, and cohesive than I could ever have imagined — and there is tremendous value in that.
Unlike many other interior design firms that impose their vision on clients, Adams Design listens to the client. They ask questions and really try to understand how the client lives. As a result, Adams Design creates spaces that not only look great but also function smoothly.
